Dear Friends,

This past Sunday we had our fourth "Summer Sunday on the Balcony," with a group of us gathering in the choir loft for drinks and snacks and an opportunity to get to know one another.

I had big plans to take a photo of each group as we gathered, but I get so caught up in the experience I forget every time. Thankfully, when a small handful of us had moved to the parking lot on the way home last week, Kait Lengyel Bowers asked for a quick picture, and we captured the one you see here.

These gatherings have been such a lovely time to meet or get to know other members of the parish in a new way. It also provides a unique vantage point of the church and the tower room where our new organ will soon reside. I am so grateful for all of you who have spent a couple of hours of your time with me in this way.

We have two Sundays left of this offering - this Sunday, August 16th, and Sunday August 30th. If you are able to join us I would welcome your presence. Email Caren to let her know you can make it.

Prayer Shawl Group

This group meets every second and fourth Thursday of the month in the Hawes Room. Meetings are on a haitus during the summer and will resume September 24th. All those who crochet or knit, experienced or inexperienced are welcomed to join. Please contact Pam Alexander for more information.

Community Meal
