The Trinity Church e-Tower

for the

Feast of Pentecost

May 24, 2026

8 AM and 10 AM Worship

Message from the Rector:

For the last six months or so Alison Hosford has been serving Trinity as our parish administrator. Alison (my sister) stepped in at a moment where we needed someone to get us through the major holidays and allow me some time to determine what needs we had in the office in order to hire someone new. I’m biased, of course, but Alison has been an incredible asset to Trinity and she has served us so very well.

I’m excited to announce that Caren Banks has accepted the role of parish administrator and she began working at Trinity on Tuesday. Caren was recommended to us by members of Trinity, and she brings with her a warm personality and years of professional experience that will make her a wonderful addition in our church office.

Alison will be staying on a few hours a week helping with communications work. She will continue preparing our Sunday bulletins and working on website and newsletter updates. Having Alison do this work from home will allow Caren a little more time and space to tend to the myriad of needs and tasks on our campus to keep the church running smoothly.

Moving forward, if you have announcements or other notes for the e-tower, bulletins, or website, please email Alison at communications@trinitynewport.org. All other inquiries about life at Trinity can come to Caren at parishadmin@trinitynewport.org.

We are so very blessed by all the people that make our life at Trinity possible. Please join me in gratitude that Caren and Alison are two of those people!

With gratitude,

Meaghan

Special Announcements

Pentecost this Sunday

This Sunday is the feast of Pentecost, and we will celebrate the Holy Spirit with red vestments and hangings. If you have something red to wear to church, this is the week to wear it!

We will also baptize two new Christians into the household of God at our 10am service: Jack and Winslow. Join us for a joyful Sunday morning at Trinity!

Thank you to our Volunteers!

We are so grateful for the team of volunteers that came to Trinity last Saturday to tend to our beautiful grounds.

This team, under the leadership and direction of Dan Cordeiro, planted and mulched and tended to our property.

Spring is in full swing, the fountain is on, new banners are hung, and the grounds look lovely. We are fully ready for our Trinity Sunday celebration next week!

Upcoming Events and Ministry Opportunities

Strawberry Festival is Coming!

June 13, 2026 11am-4pm.

We look forward to celebrating our 12th Strawberry Festival with members of the parish and our entire community! As with every year, volunteers for strawberry prep, tent raising, serving, set up and breakdown are needed to make this event a success. Sign up to volunteer through this link or on the sign up sheet at coffee hour on Sunday. Thank you!

You can also reach out to one of the 3 chairs of the event: Cissie Ferzoco, Ellen Patterson, or Phoebe Livingston

We continue collections for Lucy's Hearth, this week. Lucy's Hearth is a 24-hour emergency and transitional shelter in Newport County serving children and their families who are experiencing homelessness. We have supported Lucy's Hearth many times through our Pumpkin Patch, and they have a list of food needs that are tailored to families in particular. If you can bring any of the items from this list to church with you in the coming weeks, we will be sure to deliver the food to Lucy's Hearth. If you have questions about this effort, please email Diane Myers.
