The Seventh Sunday After Pentecost, July 27, 2025, 8 AM and 10 AM Worship | |
Dear Trinitarians,
You know that St. Paul is one of my favorite writers in the Bible. I am often heard saying one of Pauls remarks; when asked How I am, I say "fighting the Good Fight". As St. Paul greets us in the letters: I greet you "Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ". This Sunday, July 27th is my last Sunday serving as your Deacon. I am being transferred to St. Paul’s Church in Wickford. I am very sad to leave this parish as it embarks on Giant Steps of growth. The Holy Spirit has taken over at Trinity, and growing ministries are happening! In the many of programs and service at Trinity we learned from each other, we grew in faith, we saw the face of Jesus in others. I’ve learned so much in the Trinity community, especially clear is the message that giving is how abundance happens!
This week I have been part of Vacation Bible School at St. Luke’s in East Greenwich. I had the chance to work with future parishioners, and Vestry members aged 4-12. We had 39 kids participating and it is truly the future of our church, as Trinity’s Church's Sunday School is. Gratitude was the theme of the week, and we learned new ways to be grateful for connection, and creation. We learned that we are rich in God, and that God loves us, and we are free and called to love others. Abundance of love takes over.
It has been my pleasure and honor to serve as your Deacon at Trinity parish. I will be part of the Education for Ministry Course for Aquidneck Island given at St. Columba’s this fall. Join us, if you have the desire to dig into the bible. As an Islander I hope to get back to Trinity for the special festive events that the parish is so well known for.
With waves of gratitude, I thank you that I have been a part of this growing faith community. Deacon Christine

Endings are also beginnings
We are coming to the end of one part of Trinity’s journey as people of a loving God, and beginning another chapter as we welcome The Reverend Meaghan Kelly Brower as Rector.
Everywhere I go folks are excited for us, and for Meaghan, as we start this part of our journey together. I hope that you will welcome her as you have welcomed me, and find ways to help Trinity become what is next for us – with God’s help. And please remember that, even as we prepare to celebrate 300 years of this building being a beacon of God’s light in the world, the building is not the church – we are the church. God’s people gathered to worship and love each other and love the beautiful part of the world we are in.
Another beginning will be the start of the year for Education for Ministry (EfM). It is a four year program based on Scripture, History of the Church, and our role as followers of Jesus. We meet Tuesday evenings, during the school year, at St. Columba’s in Middletown, and there is room for a few more participants. Please look it up on line – Click on Sewanee.edu EfM and find all the information you will need. And please ask me about it if you are interested.
Blessings, The Reverend Noël Robinson

Please note that over the course of the next two weeks or so, the Parish Administration Office may be moving into the new building. This depends on the Certificate of Occupancy and the moving of the Printer. Since the Printer is vital to the Parish Administration, we move together. Therefore, request or questions may be delayed. Internet Scam Targeting Trinity Members
In case you have not heard....
I am sad to report that many Trinity folks are receiving SCAM emails and text messages.
The message claim to be from Tim Safford with the sender email address of
timsaffordtrinitynewport@gmail.com
and
rev.trinitynewport@gmail.com. (an old inactive email address)
and
leadpastor502@gmail.com
Please report as a Phishing scam and block the email. Tim's email at Trinity Church is inactive. And you will not hear from him via Trinity Church.
Tim or anyone else associated with the staff of Trinity Church would never ask you to purchase Apple gift cards, or to send money through the mail or venmo/paypal etc.
The messages tend to be vague and generic.
Always look at the email address of where the email is coming from. It may say Tim's name but check the senders' email (address where the email it came from). This is true for all Trinity Staff.
Apologies for any inconveniences this may have caused. I am so sorry this is happening. Please share with other parishioners. This is definitely an email to gossip about to avoid other possible future scams.
