Stewardship Season
The temperature has fallen, and the pumpkins are filling Queen Anne Square… that can only mean one thing: it’s Pledge Season!
We center our pledge drive this year on words that we sing every week as our offerings are brought to the altar: we “praise God from whom all blessings flow”. We believe that all we have and know and love are God-given gifts. Those gifts flow to and through us - like rain that waters the earth and collects into rivers that run to the sea, we are a part of the blessing that nourishes us, and all that we touch.
We’ve been much blessed this year - with a completed campus and a wonderful Rector. Now we need to work together to ensure that those blessings continue to flow beyond ourselves.
Thanks,
Terry

Pumpkin Patch is Closing today!
The Patch could use hands helping break everything down between 4:00 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Pumpkins and baked goods sales were great, best year EVER! A deep and sincere “Thank You” to all who donated time, energy and baked goods/jams to make the Patch another successful community-oriented event at Trinity Church. It is enjoyed by many in Newport and surrounding area as well as the tourists. Thank you, Diane and Deb, for leading the way. There will be a wrap meeting November 5 in the Glenn Family Center at 6 p.m. Please contact Diane if interested.

Monday, November 17, at 5:00 p.m. The Book: The Sunday Philosophy Club: An Isabel Dalhousie Mystery, Book 1, by Alexander McCall Smith. Mr. Smith is the author of the very successful and delightful Ladies Detective Agency series. The Sunday Philosophy Club series features Isabel Dalhousie, a philosopher by training and an amateur sleuth.
In this first book of the series, Isabel is attending a concert in Edinburgh, when she witnesses a young man fall from the balcony above. She wonders was this an accident or was there foul play. And so the tale begins, as she and her cohorts proceed to solve the mystery.
