Patio Highlight: Figo Wine Bar

Figo Wine Bar (3207 N Sheffield) is the ideal destination for those looking to indulge in unique wines, signature cocktails, and delectable appetizers and dinners. Embracing the best elements of an Italian wine bar, Figo offers an exciting experience with a menu that blends traditional Italian dishes with international flavors, all complemented by a sommelier-curated wine list.

At Figo, guests can craft their own charcuterie boards, savor freshly shucked oysters, and share delicious tapas such as meatballs, arancini, dates, pork belly, and bistro fries. Entrée options include exquisite pasta dishes, Branzino, duck breast, and hanger steak. Finish your meal with desserts like flan or cheesecake topped with homemade berry sauce. As a wine bar, Figo boasts an impressive selection of wines, including sparkling, rosé, white, red, and natural wines, each carefully chosen by a sommelier and available by the glass or bottle. Don't know which wine to get? Ask the knowledgeable wait staff! If wine isn't your preference, Figo's signature cocktails—like the espresso martini, Negroni, old-fashioned, and sangria—are sure to delight. They also offer a limited beer menu and a range of non-alcoholic wines and mocktails.

Enjoy all that Figo has to offer on their intimate patio, located at the front of the restaurant near the sidewalk. There's nothing like sharing a bottle with friends on a summer evening!

Uncommon Ground Celebrates 33 Years

July 1st marked 33 years in Wrigleyville for Uncommon Ground! Owners Helen and Michael Cameron began their Uncommon Journey in 1991 at 1214 W Grace St in a 850 sq ft space. By 2005, they expanded into 3800 N Clark, taking over all six commercial spaces in the building. Uncommon Ground was founded to create a space of comfort and happiness, focusing on high-quality ingredients and fostering community. The name "Uncommon Ground" reflects its mission of being distinctly different and beyond the ordinary. Over the years, it has expanded to include the first certified organic rooftop and sidewalk farms in Chicago, and Greenstar Brewing, the FIRST certified organic brewery in Illinois! Committed to sustainability, Uncommon Ground earned the title of "Greenest Restaurant in America" in 2012, implementing various eco-friendly practices. The success of Uncommon Ground over 30 years is attributed to the support of family, friends, artists, musicians, staff, purveyors, local farmers, and loyal guests, all contributing to its mission to nourish the community and nurture nature. Uncommon Ground hosts multiple intimate seated dinner shows a week! Sip on local organic brews and enjoy live music by bands and musicians. Cheers to 33 years!
