Cumin Lakeview East Supper Club

We are thrilled to announce that our next Lakeview East Supper Club is with Cumin! Cumin has been serving the Wicker Park area since 2010, but they just opened their Lakeview East doors this past December. Cumin is the epicurean destination for Indian and Nepalese cuisine, and our Supper Club with them is going to be FAMILY STYLE! Meaning multiple dishes with each course. There will be a healthy mix of both vegetarian and non-veg options, so all can enjoy!

Belmont Sheffield Music Festival is One Month Away

The official kick-off to summer fun is exactly ONE MONTH AWAY from today! The Belmont Sheffield Music Festival is three days of music, fun, dancing, drinking, and eating. Happening Memorial Day Weekend, this year's headliners include Chicago favorites 16 Candles, Dancing Queen: An ABBA Salute, and Rod Tuffcurls & the Bench Press! This year is the festival's40th Anniversary- making it 40x more epic than ever before. Save the dates, and we will see you on the streets.

Kentucky Derby 2025

Keith Lee Visits Amici, AGAIN!

Last year, TikTok Food Influencer Keith Lee paid a visit to Amici-Chicago, and gave them a glowing review that caused Amici to sell out for weeks, and blow up in popularity. Just last week, Keith Lee, in partnership with Toast, generously donated $50,000 to Amici! "The money comes from Toast's 'It's the Little Things' campaign, which seeks to highlight restaurants that take special care with the little things that make dining experiences special. Lee personally selected Amici to receive the money, saying the family-owned and operated restaurant is run with clear passion and has a commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients, with everything made to order "with evident care" (CBS News). Drum roll please... the Lakeview East Festival of the Arts is happening on September 13th and 14th this year! The Lakeview East Festival of the Arts is Chicago’s premier fine art festival showcasing over 125 juried artists. The festival has been rated #1 Fine Arts Festival in Chicago and #2 in the state of Illinois by AFSB. Each year the festival attracts over 45,000 attendees from all around Chicago and the northwestern suburbs as well as patrons from all around the country! We are now accepting applications for food vendors to participate in this year's Festival of the Arts!  If you're interested in applying to be a food vendor, send an email to info@lakevieweast.com

We are saddened to share the passing of longtime Lakeview East business owner and community member Ron Mertz. Alongside his wife and business partner, Nancie King Mertz, Ron spent decades building Art De Triumph into a neighborhood staple, a welcoming gallery and framing shop that supported artists from near and far.

While Nancie's artwork brought color to the walls, Ron was the steady hand behind the scenes, known for his craftsmanship, quiet kindness, and deep support of the arts. Together, they created a space that helped countless people celebrate creativity and community. Donations in his memory can be made to the Rockford Area Arts Council or Spring Creek United Church of Christ. Ron will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but the legacy he helped build will continue to inspire our neighborhood for years to come.
