A neighborhood favorite returns for its fifth year... Dine Out On Broadway! Broadway will be closed to traffic from Belmont to Wellington this weekend so restaurants can extend their patios to the street! There are over a dozen participating restaurants this year, from Indian cuisine to fresh-baked pizza. Come bring the whole family out for some outdoor dining, or your favorite dinner date.

On Saturday, Alderman Bennett Lawson is hosting a Kids Bike Parade! Meet over at Belmont & Broadway at 8:45 am, and the parade will go to Wellington and back. Helmets are mandatory to participate, and water and light refreshments will be provided.

Adopt and Shop Returns!

This is the year you finally get a dog! Join us at the 3rd Annual Adopt and Shop event in Lakeview East on June 15th from 11 AM to 3 PM! Discover Broadway, stretching between Belmont and Roscoe, transformed into a haven for pet lovers. Flub A Dub Chubs Enters Vienna Beef Hot Dog Hall of Fame

Well hot dog! Flub A Dub Chubs (3021 N Broadway) is excited to announce its induction into The Vienna Hall Of Fame!


"The Hall Of Fame has been in existence since 2006 and includes just 150 members. Flub A Dub Chubs will become number 151! Vienna has over 4000 customers nationwide and that makes it a great honor. We have been proud to be members of the active and progressive Lakeview East Chamber Of Commerce for almost two decades." - Sam Giarratano, Flub A Dub Chubs owner.


The induction will take place on Tuesday, June 11th. The ceremony starts at 10:30a.m and will last until Noon. Join and be part of the crowd! In honor of being #151, they will sell the Chicago Flubby Dogs for $1.51 until 4:00 pm that evening!

Food Vendors Needed: Lakeview East Festival of the Arts

The Lakeview East Festival of the Arts is Chicago’s premier fine art festival showcasing over 125 juried artists. The festival has been rated #1 Fine Arts Festival in Chicago, and #2 in the state of Illinois by AFSB. Each year the festival attracts over 45,000 attendees from all around Chicago, northwestern suburbs as well as patrons from all around the country! We are now accepting applications for food vendors to participate in this year's Festival of the Arts! This year's FOTA is on September 14th and 15th. Grand Opening: Billy Goat Tavern

There's a new GOAT in town. Friday was the grand opening for the much-anticipated Billy Goat Tavern in Wrigleyville! This famous Chicago burger joint has taken over the former Full Shilling space and is now open for business. The first Billy Goat Tavern debuted back in 1934 when Billy "Goat" Sianis founded his tavern. Now, there are 8 locations around the Chicago land area! The simple menu consists of delicious breakfast sandwiches and omelets in the mornings, and burgers, beef, and chicken sandwiches for lunch and dinner. They even have a kid's menu so the whole family can enjoy! Come by and take a bite of Chicago history.

The Red Stars are at Wrigley Field This Saturday

The Chicago Red Stars will host the first-ever National Women’s Soccer League match at the Friendly Confines at 6:30 PM THIS SATURDAY! Our Red Stars will be taking on the Bay FC. Saturday will be filled with activities at and around Wrigley Field and open to both the public and ticketed fans. All Chicagoans are welcome to attend the Red Stars’ Family Fan Festival at Gallagher Way from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. CT. The festival will include a live DJ, giveaways, a photo booth, food and beverages, face painting, exclusive ‘Red Stars Take Over Wrigley Field’ match merchandise, and more.


Ticketed fans arriving early to Wrigley Field can enjoy the Chicago Red Stars Fan Fest at Gallagher Way beginning at 4:00 p.m. CT. with live music, giveaways, drawings, exclusive merchandise, and more. The event, open to match ticketholders only, will deliver an elevated fan experience ahead of the much-anticipated match kickoff at 6:30 pm.

Friday Night Flights

Take a flight without leaving the city. Gallagher Way is hosting Friday Night Flights this Friday, where more than 30 breweries from neighborhoods across Chicago will come together at the park. There will be a live DJ spinning throughout the night and local food vendors on site!


There will be two tasting sessions you can join, one from 5 to 7 PM, and one from 8 to 10 PM.


Tasting passes are available for purchase, and each tasting pass is good for 20, 3-ounce samples from any of the breweries. You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase alcohol in the State of Illinois, and a valid ID is required. A limited number of tasting passes will be available on-site for walk-ups only.

Overview of Chicago’s Minimum Wage Ordinance, Including Annual Increase and Step 1 of the phase-out of the Tipped Wage Credit

On July 1, 2024, the minimum wage in Chicago increases for many workers. Employers and workers are encouraged to join this webinar for an overview of the Chicago Minimum Wage Ordinance. Topics discussed will include eligibility, annual increase to the minimum wage, overtime wages, and tipped wages. In addition, there will be an overview of the Fair Workweek Ordinance eligibility changes. There will be a Q&A at the end.
