Lakeview East News & Updates

And just like that, the 2025 season has come to an end. This year marked the 40th anniversary of the Belmont Sheffield Music Festival, 20 years of the Lakeview East Festival of the Arts, one of the most exciting Cubs playoff seasons we’ve had in a while, the first year of the Lakeview East Dive Bar Classic, and over 50 new businesses opening their doors right here in the neighborhood.

All of these monumental events would mean nothing if it weren’t for our residents, neighbors, businesses, and visitors, who make Lakeview East as special, wonderful, and unique as it is. Thank you for loving the neighborhood as much as we do, we can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store for us.

In December, we sold over $130,000 of our Lakeview East Gift Cards! Many of you placed online orders and have yet to pick them up from our office. Our office is closed until Tuesday, January 6th, at 9 am. You are able to pick up your gift card anytime our office is open, which is from Tuesdays - Fridays from 9 am until 5 pm. Cheers, happy New Years, and remember to make supporting local one of your New Years Resolutions!

New Years Resolutions 2026: Fitness in LVE

It’s the oldest New Year’s resolution in the book: prioritizing your health and fitness. But fitness doesn’t have to mean endless miles on a treadmill. From rock climbing and Pilates to hot yoga, MMA, and weight training, the key is finding a workout you actually enjoy and will stick with in 2026. With fitness studios on nearly every corner of the neighborhood, there’s no shortage of options. Discover them all in our Fitness in LVE article and make this the year you truly conquer your goals.

Shop Local Highlight: The Colette Collection

The Colette Collection is the ultimate playground for fashion lovers, selling statement pieces, sparkly accessories, cozy fur jackets, and all the must-have closet staples. Since opening its doors in 2016, Colette has been more than just a boutique; it’s grown into a vibrant fashion community. The shop curates styles from exciting up-and-coming brands, delivering high-quality looks at prices that stay comfortably under $100. With fresh new arrivals dropping regularly, every visit feels like a mini treasure hunt filled with fun and unexpected finds. And because only a limited number of each item is carried, shoppers can step out with confidence knowing their look will be uniquely theirs, no outfit twins in sight! The Colette Collection also hosts events, like Yoga & Mimosas, movie night outings, and fill-a-bag events. We are so proud to have such a unique and fun boutique shop in the neighborhood. Come on in, meet the friendly staff who is more than happy to help you find your size and style, and support local.
