Scenes of Lakeview East

Earlier this month, the Plein Air Painters Chicago artists spent some time in Lakeview East painting local businesses, parks and other places around our neighborhood! On Friday night, Artful Framer Studios (2938 N Clark)  is hosting an exhibit of the Lake View East paintings done by PAPC members from the Lake View East paint out. The opening reception is August 30th and the show runs through September. Come view these beautiful paintings, meet the artists, and enjoy some drinks and snacks, from 7 to 10 pm! And YES, all the featured paintings will be for sale!

Sheridan Station Corridor Updates

When was the last time you took a stroll down the Sheridan Station Corridor? This month alone, THREE brand-new businesses have opened their doors! You can actually treat yourself to a day of pampering and visit all three new businesses on one walk. Start off with coffee and baked goods from The Bakehouse Chicago, 3915 N Sheridan, get spoiled at The Self Sanctuary, 951 W Dakin, and then pick up a sandwich from the brand new Jersey Mikes at 3913 N Sheridan!

The Sheridan Station Corridor is a pocket of Lakeview East that encompasses the residential, restaurant, and retail areas on Sheridan Road along the Sheridan “L” Station, from Irving Park (4000 N.) to Byron/W. Sheridan (3900 N.). With around 20 businesses and the Sheridan Red Line station, this Lakeview East pocket is a thriving business corridor.
