Beware: On Halloween, Lakeview East is going to be crawling with little monsters. Don’t worry, you’ll be safe, as long as you provide some treats!
With Halloween falling on a Saturday this year, we’re throwing our neighborhood business trick-or-treat on Halloween proper! From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., stop by participating businesses throughout the neighborhood to trick-or-treat. Costumes are encouraged, and you’re welcome to bring your pup along for the fun!

This past Saturday, one of our legacy Lakeview East businesses closed it's doors, Royal Home Entertainment. Having been in business for over 55 years, Royal Home Entertainment has seen Lakeview East transform through eras of music, nightlife, technology, development, and neighborhood reinvention, all while adapting right alongside it.
From records and tapes to video rentals, electronics, repairs, custom installations, security systems, and commercial audio, Royal Home Entertainment’s story is also a story of how the world changed. Love shopping local? Show us the receipts. The Lakeview East Giver’s Gift Promotion is back for its 30th year and it’s bigger than ever! When you shop at local Lakeview East businesses this holiday season, you can earn a $50 Lakeview East Gift Card just for supporting your neighborhood. It's pretty simple, you just have to follow these steps.
-Shop local between November 1 - December 23.
-Collect receipts from at least 3 different businesses in Lakeview East.
-Each receipt must be over $25 (BEFORE TAX AND TIP)!
-Collect $300 worth of receipts
-Fill out the form on our website
-Email your receipts, or bring them into our office.
-All of that, and you will receive your $50 LVE Giftcard!
Before submitting your receipts and form, please check our website for a list of rules on what is eligible. For example, there is a $100 cap on grocery and liquor, and we do not accept gym memberships or prescriptions. Happy shopping!
