You may have noticed part of Broadway is, well, gone. But have no fear, the resurfacing project is here! Construction began last week and is necessary to avoid potholes and re-work traffic patterns and bike lanes. The resurfacing project will be completed by mid to late August according to CDOT.

"No parking” signs will be posted until construction is completed along Broadway from Belmont Avenue to Diversey Parkway, and Diversey from DuSable Lake Shore Drive to Orchard Street.

When the signs are posted, no parking will be enforced 8 a.m-4:30 p.m. when crews are working.

Wrigleyville's Waveland Avenue might become a one-way street before the Cubs' next season opener. Ald. Bennett Lawson of the Forty-Fourth Ward explains that currently, some blocks of Waveland are too narrow, leading to issues like sideswipes and traffic congestion. Chicago Police requested the change over a year ago, and most respondents from Lawson's constituents seem to support the idea. If approved, the one-way designation could take effect before the next Cubs' opening day, aiming to direct traffic away from the ballpark and towards an arterial route for better flow.

The Mustache Crawl - Chicago's Biggest Bar Crawl, held on July 30th, 2022, was an absolute hit!
