Committee Updates
TESL Ontario has a number of volunteer committees and working teams that support the organization in its ongoing efforts to provide the highest-quality professional development events, publications, resources and support for our members.

The current work and latest updates of one of these committees is highlighted in each issue of your Membership Minute quarterly newsletter.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee
The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee has had a very busy few months. Recruitment for new committee members took place during December and January, with three new TESL Ontario members joining the group this month.

The DEI Committee will follow up its busy 2022 schedule by presenting a series of valuable webinars over the course of 2023 and you will want to watch for DEI-themed posts appearing on the TESL Blog, as well.

A special TESL Dialogue session is being planned for this May to address the DEI concerns we have heard from our members through our open form feedback survey. If you have not had a chance to contribute your thoughts, you can do so HERE.

The committee will also be working with our Annual Conference Committee to ensure that DEI-themed presentations are featured in this year’s conference programming.
