Nominations are Due for the 2026 Business Person of the Year!
The Lafayette Chamber is accepting nominations for the 2026 Business Person of the Year (BPOY) until this Friday, December 5 at noon.
Help us recognize an outstanding business leader who has demonstrated exceptional service, leadership, and commitment to our Lafayette community!

This FREE, fun, family-friendly celebration includes Santa sightings, free train rides on the Lafayette Express, official holiday tree lighting ceremony, one-of-a-kind photo ops, live musical entertainment, kid’s activities, holiday treats and more!
The “It’s a Wonderful Life in Lafayette” Holiday Celebration event is presented by the Lafayette Chamber, and sponsored by local Lafayette Realtor The Dana Green Team, Branagh Development, and the City of Lafayette. Together they are also hosting the environmentally-friendly downtown Lafayette twinkle lights for the Holiday Season.

A heartfelt thank you to the Lafayette Veterans Memorial Center for hosting, Sunrise Bistro & Catering for the delicious food, and Sunflower Hill for their informative and moving presentation on their upcoming Permanent Supportive Housing project at 949 Moraga Road in Lafayette, designed to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Joint Lafayette Chamber Young Professionals & Connectors Event
The Chamber hosted a joint Lafayette Chamber Young Professionals and Lafayette Chamber Connectors event at Club Champion on November 19.
We had a fantastic turn-out and many tried Club Champion's golf simulators!
Thanks to Club Champion for hosting and providing delicious refreshments, and to Young Professional & Connectors Co-Chairs: Carolyne Charvoz (Girls Just Gotta Have Funds), Matt Boone (Compass), and Fred Steingraf (Edward Jones).

Share Your Ideas at CCTA’s Virtual Town Hall on December 9
Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) is developing a countywide Community-Based Transportation Plan and wants community input on what improvements—like safer crossings, better walking/biking routes, and stronger transit connections—would make daily travel easier and more accessible.

Prevent Trash Before it Starts!
RecycleSmart, the Solid Waste Authority for Lafayette, is partnering with ReThink Disposable to provide funding to Lafayette food-generating businesses to transition from single-use throw-away food packaging, to washable, reusable food service ware.
Contact RecycleSmart at Authority@recyclesmart.org for a free in-person visit to assess your businesses' needs. Current Lafayette participating restaurants include 360 Gourmet Burrito, Papillon, Oasis Café, and The Rising Loafer.
