Remember in Your Prayers
The people of Syria and Turkey and all those affected by the devastating earthquakes. God our hearts grieve and ache as we see the images of death and destruction arising from this land. May your peace be upon them, your strength be with them, and may we, from the comfort of our lives, reach out in life-giving ways.
And in the middle of this Black History Month we lift up a prayer of thanksgiving and praise for the beautiful, profound and extensive contributions of Black Americans to the life of our nation throughout history. May these contributions never be forgotten and may we acknowledge with sorrow the ways that they have.

O God, in your tender mercy, Hear our prayers
