Additional hurricane recovery resources

Florida grant panel meetings have been scheduled!

THIS IS VERY INTERESTING

Artists in western North Carolina have set up a way to connect artists and organizations in Florida, Georga, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee affected by Hurricane Helene with individuals desiring to aid them directly.

They do not manage any donations, but aim to connect affected artists and arts organizations with individuals who want to support them.

Each state's listings populate as artists and organizations submit their profile. Visitors to the site are finding artists they know, but were unaware were in need.

Morgan Hill, one of the co-creators says she welcomes inquiries and can even assist artists who've lost access to computers in getting their information on the site. Her contact information can be found along with very user friendly access to submit your information on this linked page. Check it out for yourself and see if this is something you want to participate in or share.

The Florida Division of Art and Culture has announced the schedule for the grant review panel meetings.

If you're an applicant, you should have received a notification of your review meeting. Here is a link to their calendar. Cultural October Facilities Grants applicants' meeting is October 9th (next week). The remaining panels begin October 28th and run through November 7th.

MORE DETAILED HURRICANE RECOVERY RESOURCES

The Arts Council of Hillsborough County recently sent a very comprehensive email detailing resources. Some of it may be a repeat of what was sent Monday, however, there are details and more direct links that those dealing directly from the affected area are uniquely able to offer. Here is what they shared as available resources and reporting to help assess damage and recover:

Please also share your status by filling out one of the following Rapid Damage Assessment Forms: 1) Cultural Institutions, 2) Arts Organizations, or 3) Individual Artists and Performing Groups.

Florida Cultural Alliance is also supported in part by grant funding from South Arts in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. Learn more www.southarts.org.
