WHY: Seven Caribbean-wide health safety and environmental (HSE) hospitality standards have been developed to improve health, safety and environmental quality in the hospitality sector. The adoption and implementation of these standards by the Caribbean tourism industry will significantly reduce the adverse impact of HSE issues, which in turn will increase the contribution of the sector to the socioeconomic well-being of the region.
