It’s been a decade since RMVR has used this School/Spring Race format. We attempted to provide clarity in the text within the entries themselves, however in the registration process it is easy to miss this information. Following is a Frequently Asked Questions Guide to assist your planning for the weekend.
Q: I just want to race the Marvelous May event. What do I do?
A: Sign up for the race weekend event only in MSR.

Q: I’m signing up as a student. What do I do?
A: Sign up as a student in MSR using the Driver’s School event.

Q: I’m signing up as a student – do I need to pay for a $75 membership? It’s there on the signup page….
A: The Student fee covers your annual membership to RMVR; don’t pay the $75.
Q: I’m planning to be an instructor – what do I do?
A: Use the Driver’s School signup in MSR, scroll down past the $595 student entry, and fill in the Instructor section.

Q: I’m signing up as an instructor. Do I need to sign up for HPR’s RMVR Exclusive Friday Open Lapping day too?
A: No you do not. Your track time is covered for all 3 days as an instructor.
Q: I’m signing up for the Friday Open Lapping/Test day with HPR. Where do I do that?

Note on the signup page the deviation from the normal Closed wheel top of the hour/Open wheel bottom of the hour. This is to accommodate the four Student Only sessions on Friday. Pricing has been adjusted appropriately to support 3 sessions for the half days and 6 sessions for the full days. Time between your sessions will remain at a minimum of 30 minutes.
Q: I’m signing up for the Friday Open Lapping/Test day with HPR. How will my day be impacted with the Drivers' School running concurrently?

Q: How much track time do I get as an instructor? As a student?
A: Students and instructors will get 11 sessions over the 3 days - 4 Friday, 4 Saturday, and 3 Sunday.
Q: I plan to instruct. Do I need to sign up for the race weekend AND sign up as an instructor?
A: If you plan to instruct, then just sign up as an instructor on the Driver's School signup page on MSR. No need to register for the Marvelous May Race.
Q: Can I race AND instruct?
A: Our intent is to give the students a more relaxed pace weekend. This will allow them to prep their cars between sessions along with having plenty of 1:1 time with their instructor. To accomplish this, we planned to have the instructors be in the student sessions only on Friday and Saturday. Sunday the students and instructors will be racing with their respective run groups. A split grid is planned for the first race Sunday. 2nd and 3rd races split grid is to be determined.
Q: What if I sign up as an instructor and at the last minute am not needed?
A: Drivers who sign up to instruct but not needed will be allowed to enter the Marvelous May race event for the Early Bird price. We will do our best to give advanced notice on this.
Q: As a Student, when do I need to be at the track?
A: Whatever plan works for you to have your car ready to go on the track and you ready to dress to drive at 8:30 Friday morning is the plan you need to follow. If that is a Thursday evening arrival, great. An early riser and showing up at the gate at 6:30? Whatever works for you. Friday is a FULL DAY, not a brief meeting at 5:30 like was done at PPIR for several years. First classroom session is Friday at 8:30, first on-track session is at 10:00.
Q: As an Instructor, when do I need to be at the track?

A: Lunch Friday, Lunch Saturday, Dinner Saturday, and Lunch Sunday. All meals provided by the Trackside Café.
Q: As a student, what meals are provided for me?
