Recently, we reached out to you, our community of cat lovers regarding Snowy, facing a daunting medical emergency, which required an endoscopy.
Because of YOUR generous donations, Snowy was admitted to Metropolitan for supportive care while the doctors pursue a variety of diagnostics.
To know we can count on your support means more than words can say. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU! 🩷 - Forgotten Cats

Not Every Rescued Cat Prefers a Comfy Home!
Some cats may prefer the smell of the hay and
the ‘thrill of the hunt’ over cushier home surroundings!
By Mary Ann Emely

Some of the cats we rescue from unsafe conditions are not suited to be indoor house pets but could thrive as barn cats. Some may lack refined socialization skills, but they integrate well into the rest of the farm family. Given food, water, and shelter, these cats could live out their lives and even help control your rodent population.
Forgotten Cats’ barn cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and we’ll deliver them to PA, DE, NJ, MD properties FREE! Great for stables, farms and barns!

About 20 percent of the cats that enter our clinics each year are not feral. These include stray cats, or homeless, domesticated cats, and feral kittens under 12 weeks old, which are held and placed into Forgotten Cats’ adoption network. Some cats fall somewhere between feral and adoptable and are perfect as “barn cats”.
Forgotten Cats’ barn cats may be cats who are social but too feisty interacting with people to be acceptable as indoor family pets. They may be shy or fearful of people and prefer the company of other cats and animals. They may be cats whose litterbox habits make them unsuitable to live indoors (and for whom medical issues have been ruled out). Or they may be truly feral but unable to go back to where they are found due to dangerous or life-threatening living conditions. The barn life is often a perfect middle ground for this special segment of the domestic feline population.
Barn cats often make wonderful outdoor family pets for farm families. They can be loving and affectionate on their own terms while “working” in the barn, helping to keep the rodent population in check!
At Forgotten Cats, all cats in its barn cat program are fully vetted. They are spayed/neutered and vaccinated and have received whatever medical care they may have needed. Individuals interested in adopting barn cats must be able to provide the cats with warm and safe shelter, a dependable source of food, fresh water and vet care. Barns, stables, and sheds are all considered suitable shelters for these cats.
These mousers will provide totally organic rodent control! There is no fee charged to you for a Forgotten Cats barn cat. After chatting with one of our barn cat program volunteers to make sure you are prepared to care for your new cats, Forgotten Cats volunteers will even deliver them to you! Forgotten Cats often has barn cats available for immediate adoption. If not, they will place your name on their barn cat program waiting list.
If this sounds like a purrfect option for your barn or stable, contact Forgotten Cats,

| | Please allow us to introduce Phryne! | | |
Phryne's journey from the shadows of an alley to the warmth of compassionate care embodies the mission of Forgotten Cats, which is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating felines in need.
Once reliant on the kindness of a neighbor who fed her while she sheltered under a low deck, Phryne has blossomed into a loving cat who craves affection and connection.
Despite her recent diagnosis of diabetes, requiring insulin injections twice daily, her spirit remains unbroken, and her potential for remission with a special diet offers hope for a brighter future.
Phryne is not just any cat; she is a spirited companion who thrives on human interaction, particularly with adults and older children familiar with feline nuances. While she prefers to rule her domain as the only cat, she can coexist with well-mannered dogs after a thoughtful introduction.
This beautiful girl is ready to fill a home with love, laughter, and the warmth of companionship. If you feel a tug at your heartstrings, we invite you to witness her charming personality in her video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/c1CjiOzknxs.
By choosing to adopt Phryne, you are not only changing her life but also making a meaningful impact on feline welfare in your community.
If you would like to arrange a meet and greet with beautiful and extra sweet Phryne, please complete our no-obligation adoption application: https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/
