Andrew Keeler "Mr. Mahjong"
When Andrew Keeler was five, he would fall asleep in his living room to the sound of clacking tiles. His mother and her three women friends would call out in turn, “One bam, three crack, eight dot.”

Spring Sunday Matinee with Mokai, James Nash, Maggie Forti & Jeff Hobbs
Sunday, May 18
Doors: 4:00 PM | Show: 4:45 PM
Tickets: $20
Join us for a magical Sunday matinee on May 18th featuring CLC's own Mokai and James Nash in their annual Spring show. This special duo set blends heartfelt vocal harmonies with intricate guitar picking—expect new original songs alongside fan favorites from The Jaybird Said. Opening the afternoon is the ever-soulful Maggie Forti, accompanied by the incomparable Jeff Hobbs. Maggie, a Bay Area favorite and founder of the Wildcat Canyon collective, brings her powerful songwriting and soaring, gospel-tinged vocals—praised by critic Derk Richardson—to the stage. James Nash, frontman of the acclaimed group The Waybacks, brings his renowned guitar skills and infectious energy to the mix. Mokai and James have also been busy in the studio, and you’ll be among the first to hear their latest singles live.
Come for the stories, stay for the rhymes—and let the music carry you away.
P.S. Marie Jobling will attend on May 18th if anyone would like to join her.

Save the Date! Share the Date! June 16 & 17
9:00 am - 5:00 pm
375 Beale St, Bay Area Metro Center (accessible venue)
The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (the regional planning agency for the 9 County Bay Area) is hosting a 2-day disability summit, Accessible Futures, on June 16 and 17 that is free, hybrid (zoom & our office in San Francisco) and really geared to hearing the needs, gaps and challenges for people with disabilities, within four facilitated sessions on transportation, housing, the environment/climate change, (our agency's areas of focus) and employment/economic security. This event is primarily intended for people of all ages with disabilities. While Zoom has unlimited capacity, our in-person registration is limited to 150 people and should open any day (our website also has an email info sign-up). For folks who want to participate as practitioners, advocates, and allies (and do not have a disability), we've been recommending either signing up for the Zoom option or waiting until closer to the event, to allow others to sign up first.

Important Muni Service Changes Starting June 21
Muni service changes will go into effect on Saturday, June 21 as part of SFMTA’s efforts to close a $50 million budget shortfall and preserve service where it’s needed most.
Key updates include:
- 5 Fulton, 9 San Bruno, and 31 Balboa will turn around at Market Street on weekdays, with transfers available to other Market Street lines.
- 6 Haight-Parnassus and 21 Hayes will be combined into a new 6 Hayes-Parnassus route serving parts of each line.
- Service frequency on Market Street will remain high, with vehicles running every 2–4 minutes on weekdays.
These adjustments aim to maintain system reliability despite funding challenges.
More information and route details are available at: SFMTA.com/ServiceChanges.
