A personal note: For 60 years, I’ve been great at one thing—gaining weight! Losing it has been the hardest challenge of all... until recently. On my sister’s recommendation, I began following Kiki Nelson and John McDougall and their plant-based, high-carb, low-fat approach. And guess what? Along with a bit more exercise, and cutting back a bit on alcohol, the weight started coming off. I’m truly amazed—32 pounds down since May!

In our 16 years of publishing Edible Southeastern Massachusetts, we’ve typically avoided personal topics, but if you'd like to hear more about my journey through these emails, let me know in the poll below.
