Prayer of the Week
For the Weary
| | |
Let me not seek outside of You
what I can only find in You, O Lord;
peace and rest and joy and bliss,
which abide only in Your abiding joy.
Lift up my soul
above the weary round of harassing thoughts
to Your eternal presence.
Lift up my soul
to the pure, bright, serene,
radiant atmosphere of Your presence,
that there I may breathe freely,
there repose in Your Love,
there be at rest from myself
and from all things that weary me,
and then return clothed in Your peace
to do and bear what shall please You.
Amen.
(prayer by E.B. Pusey)

SECRET PRAYER PARTNER SIGN-UPS FOR 2026
SPPs act as an integrated prayer group to unite our women in deeper spiritual companionship. The objective for each member is to keep her partner in prayer, become a closer friend, be mindful of her partner's needs while keeping her identity a secret until the "Reveal" in December. All women who attend Prince of Peace are invited and encouraged to join. Applications are available as you enter the Narthex of the Church, and in the Church Office. You may also click here to download the Word file, which you may fill out and return to Sandi Totter, Chairperson, or Christine Lehman in the Church Office. Please sign up by January 30, 2026.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
BIBLE BLOCKBUSTERS: Joseph, A Hero’s Journey!
This week in Sunday School, kids will continue our Joseph: A Hero's Journey series with the lesson "The Hero's Hope."
The IT (One Thing) to remember:
God's timing is perfect.
Kids will explore Genesis 40, where Joseph – still in prison – interprets the dreams of Pharaoh's cupbearer and baker. Joseph's life feels like a roller coaster, yet even in the lowest valleys, God is still at work.
Joseph has passed through the Calling, Plight, Test, and Trial, and HOPE is beginning to appear. Like every great hero story, the valleys make the mountaintop moments even more meaningful.
Through our 4D Movie Blockbuster-themed series, kids will see these moments in the films they love and learn to recognize their own challenges as opportunities to be a HERO for God.
Series Memory Verse:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11
God bless you and all the children Jesus entrusted in our care!
Blessings,
Alma Fountain
Prince of Peace Children and Family Ministry is dedicated to be a safe place to GROW in faith, have fun in fellowship, live the Word and share God’s love.

TEMPORARY HOUSING NEEDED for a visitor from England (from Fr. Rand Reasoner):
A friend from England, who is in the Order of the Mustard Seed with me, has a son who needs lodging in Los Angeles from February 16 through March 1, 2026. He and his friend are here from work (they are musicians) and basically need a place to lay their head at night. They have transportation and are very self-contained. If you have room to share, and/or would like more information, please contact me at randreasoner@gmail.com, or use the phone number in the Directory.
Grace and Peace,
Rand Reasoner+ OMS
