Dear Friends and Members of Shadow Rock UCC,
In September 2012, we established our Facilities Improvement Fund (FIF). Over the past 10+ years, we have completed many projects and made significant improvements. Our accomplishments would not have been possible without generous supplemental gifts from individuals, teams, events, memorial gifts, and pledges. We are grateful to the Shadow Rock community for their support of the fund.
We have balanced the urgency of projects with the timing and flow of your contributions. Our good stewardship has kept the fund healthy. However, sometimes our needs outpace our contributions and we are near this point as we prepare for a few projects. We need to replace two air conditioning compressors for the sanctuary building totaling almost $18,000. This will take a large chunk of our FIF.
We are making this appeal for donations. Please consider making a contribution to help replenish the Facilities Improvement Fund so it will be ready for future projects demanding our attention. Projects on the near horizon include soffit repair on the sanctuary building, maintenance of the flat roof section of the education building, gutter extension to curb erosion caused by rainwater flowing off the roof, education building sewer line replacement, and lower parking lot restoration, The total estimate for these projects approaches $100,000.
