By the indwelling Holy Spirit, Ruach, The Christ within, remind us, we are born in Your love to be Your love in the world.

Be with us as we journey in this life to be repairers of the breach and co-creators of peace.

Looking ahead to our Celebration of Life Service for Rev. Gene Lefebvre we have created a Zoom link so people can join us. The service is April 27th at 10 a.m. and the Zoom link will open at 9:45 am. Contact the church office for the link address.

Oh Where, Oh Where Did It Go?

We have a hearing aid that was abandoned on the hearing assisting device table in the narthex. We are thinking that someone took their hearing aid off and put a device on. It is NOT looking for a new home. It is hoping to return home where it belongs. Can you help? Contact the church office.

Yoga For Everyone!

Sunday, May 5, 9-10 am

Sunday, June 2, 9-10 am

Come BREATHE and MOVE before church! The first Sunday of each month, starting in May, we will have a 1-hour, ALL levels, free yoga class from 9:00-10:00. Parents, bring your kids to Spiritual Play and enjoy an hour to yourself. Bring a mat if you have one, or you can borrow one of ours, and wear something comfy! Our instructor, Chelsea, has experience teaching yoga to all ages and abilities and would love to get to share the gift of yoga with you!

Transition Team Corner

The Transition Team is making progress. They have acknowledged the value and challenges of each initiative in the Moving Forward document. After exploration and feedback from the congregation, the Transition Team has narrowed down the focus to Wedding Venue and Increasing Rental Income which should be supported by a stronger internet presence. Next steps include:

communicating progress to the congregation
creating consensus and affirmation about the progress and direction
drilling down into planning, process, procedure, funding, staffing, and implementing the agreed-upon initiatives

We are meeting April 28th in the multipurpose room at 11:30 am. This gathering is to share ideas and information about new initiatives, goals, priorities, next steps, and who can help drive the projects.

The scope of their work is to oversee the process of moving Shadow Rock UCC into an organizational model that is sustainable and adaptive, with the motivation that the preservation and promotion of our core values, vision, and mission are key to the survival and thriving of Shadow Rock.

WE ARE RECRUITING FOR ART SHOW 2024, MAYBE!

Everyone is in agreement that our 50th Anniversary Art Show was a great event that celebrated our core values, our community, and local artists. All of us want to do it again but we remain open to other possibilities as we explore potential leadership for this Fall 2024 event. Shadow Rock's governing board is hanging on to this idea and exploring ways to move it forward. Let them know what you think and are willing to do.
