Marotta Controls announced the promotion of Brian Ippolitto to Vice President, Space Systems. Ippolitto assumes full responsibility for all operations of Marotta’s Space business unit, including engineering, program management, business development, quality, and assembly and test. He steps into the position having led virtually every function within the division over the course of his 16-year career at the company.
Marotta also announced the company has been named one of 11 recipients of the Lockheed Martin Exceptional Small Business Performance Award for 2025. This annual honor spotlights the small business suppliers that delivered the greatest value and innovation to the division over the course of the previous year. Marotta was previously recognized with the Exceptional Small Business Performance Award in 2013, 2015, 2022 and 2023.

County College of Morris (CCM) Board of Trustees Chair Paul R. Licitra has been honored with the Ronald D. Winthers Trustee Leadership Award at the 2026 New Jersey Community College Awards, presented by the New Jersey Council of County Colleges (NJCCC). The award recognizes trustees whose extraordinary leadership, service and advocacy have advanced the mission of community colleges and expanded opportunities for students. Paul's dedication to CCM and higher education has helped strengthen the college’s impact throughout Morris County and the state.
In addition, CCM, in partnership with Morristown High School, recognized the completion of the second cohort of students from the Advanced Integrated Manufacturing Technologies program. The innovative program combines classroom instruction, hands-on technical training and industry-recognized certifications through coursework delivered at CCM's state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Center and provides high school seniors with a direct pathway into advanced manufacturing careers, addressing the growing demand for skilled workers in the Morris County and New Jersey manufacturing sector.

Morris County Commissioner Tom Mastrangelo (center) was among six Morris County residents honored this month at the 29th Annual Morris County Lifetime Achievement Awards Dinner hosted by the Patriots’ Path Council, Scouting America. Honorees are selected for their dedication to worthwhile causes and the impact they have made throughout Morris County. The event held on June 3 raised more than $80,000 to support local Scouting programs. Funding helps provide camping and adventure excursions for Scouts requiring financial assistance, as well as Eagle Scout Merit Scholarships for local youth pursuing higher education.
Morris County has again received the highest possible financial ratings from Moody’s Ratings and S&P Global Ratings, with both agencies reaffirming the county’s AAA bond rating and stable financial outlook following their annual review of county finances. The dual AAA ratings mark the 51st consecutive year Morris County has received the highest assignment of both fiscal agencies for the county’s economic strength and prudent financial management. Both rating agencies affirmed a stable outlook for Morris County, reflecting expectations that the county will maintain strong financial operations, healthy reserves and continued economic stability in the coming years.

NJBIZ recognized Patricia Greer (left photo, center), Berkeley College Provost, among the recipients of the ICON Honors awards. The program recognized 37 New Jersey leaders, age 60 and older, who lead through mentorship. Business Elite Awards, an international organization dedicated to recognizing outstanding leadership and professional excellence, honored Panagiota Babadelis, Berkeley’s Senior Director of Marketing and Communications, among its 2026 “40 Under 40” honorees. The Business Elite “40 Under 40” distinction honors professionals who “demonstrate excellence across industries through innovation, leadership and lasting impact.”
In addition, the Berkeley College Foundation recently welcomed more than 80 golfers and sponsors to its 9th Annual Golf Outing at Basking Ridge Golf Club. The event assists the foundation in its mission to provide scholarships and support for student success.
