We are continuing to closely monitor Tropical Storm Melissa as it makes its way closer to Jamaica. The latest advisory mentions that the storm is crawling at just 2 mph and could be life-threatening for the island of Jamaica. Yet we hold firm to the promise that God is in control and He is over all things. Read our article to see what we're doing to prepare for the storm and how you can partner with us in prayer during these uncertain times.

At ACE, there truly is a place for everyone. No matter the season you come down, or the hobbies and resources you bring with you, your diverse perspectives and talents ensure that every visit leaves a lasting mark on the communities we serve. We’ve started building out our 2026 calendar, and we’d love to see you and your team on it. Read Althia's full article and consider booking your next trip.

ACE used to refer to our infirmary residents as our "senior kids," reflecting on what often happens as we age: we start to embrace a carefree attitude and appreciate the simple joys of life. Although we can no longer visit the St. Mary Infirmary to spend time with the residents there, we have exciting opportunities and initiatives coming soon to help us better serve the "senior kids" in our AMI program. Read Marla's Minute for more details.

Volunteer Spotlight

Arlene Curran is a one-of-a-kind ACE volunteer! Since 2010, Arlene has served in several capacities with ACE, from week-long trips with her church to staying in Jamaica for 26 months in a three-year timespan. Currently, she serves in Jamaica three times per year, typically for 4-5 weeks at a time. And when she heads home, she continues to volunteer for ACE remotely.

Home visits for both sponsored children and AMI elders are some of her favorite activities. It always amazes her that with many of our AMI friends who are living in poverty and often hungry, they still repeat over and over how thankful they are to God for His loving care! She also enjoys taking photos of each student participating in our annual Backpack Distribution, as well as developing deep relationships with our ACE staff and her sponsored families, Ruschell, her mother Gillian, Romeo, and his mother Plummie.

If you’re ready to invest in the people we serve here in Jamaica, email our Stateside Office at office@acexperience.org or call 877-500-5768 for more information or to book a trip.

Answered Prayers & Prayer Requests

PRAYER REQUEST We are continuing to closely monitor and prepare for Tropical Storm Melissa. Please be in prayer that this storm would move south with minimal damage to Jamaica and the entire Caribbean.

ANSWERED PRAYER We're excited to share that our aeroponic towers are now fully up and running! While plant growth has yet to begin, we have made significant progress setting up electricity and a reverse osmosis system that will not only nourish the towers but also provide clean drinking water for the entire farm.

PRAYER REQUEST We have four students whose sponsors can no longer provide support, and we are seeking new sponsors. We also have 10 students whose sponsors may soon not be able to continue supporting them. If you are able and willing, please consider sponsoring one of these students for us so they can continue to receive the care and resources needed to succeed in school and at home.

ANSWERED PRAYER We are thrilled to announce that ACE has been in discussions with a local church to send teachers to St. Mary once or twice a week. They will engage with our staff and neighbors at the Peace House, teaching them about purpose through their relationship with Christ. Please pray for a positive response from the community.

PRAYER REQUEST It’s been a slow season for businesses across Jamaica. As a result, we've had to ask some staff members to utilize their leave or vacation time. To help us advance and create more employment opportunities, we’re seeking volunteer teams willing to lend a hand with various tasks. Would you consider bringing your family and friends down to assist us for a week?

ANSWERED PRAYER We’re delighted to witness the growth of our students in the child sponsorship program. Their attendance and grades are improving thanks to the consistent communication from their sponsors and the dedication of our small but mighty ACE staff. Your support makes a difference, and we’re making progress together!

PRAYER REQUEST We need your support to ship a 40 ft. container filled with invaluable donations, including farming equipment, a farm truck, an ATV, and various ministry supplies like furniture and clothing. Our board members have generously committed to purchasing the container and covering shipping. Now, we need to raise approximately $15,000 to pay the customs tax and duties to clear and deliver these essential items from Kingston.
