We were blessed to have Lynne, a former volunteer, come out to housesit at the Campus. She was a Godsend to us for being present and willing to help us in whatever ways He led her. Thank you, Lynne, for sharing your talents, your time, and your kindness. Here are a few of her thoughts from this experience:

I prayed for peace of mind and clarity for guidance on what to do in 2023 in my new role as a widow

Do you have experience in organic greenhouse gardening? We have recently been given the chance to purchase two brand new greenhouses that a local farm operation can no longer use. This is an amazing opportunity for Green Life farms to grow food

In my middle-class world growing up in the U.S., my mother and grandparents made sure that Easter was a big deal around our home. There was a big Easter basket full of all the great things a child loves that today are considered toxic to the body… chocolate eggs, hollow bunny, plastic colored straw, cellophane around a colorful straw basket...

Change adds up!

We appreciate the video our friend made for us a few years ago asking you to round up your change via your credit card. Well, now that ACE has made it through COVID years, we are asking you to consider once again to give us your change, especially if you can’t physically come down right now.

Just go to our website (www.acexperience.org) and click Be A Changemaker and then Get Started Now. It should walk you through the process of setting up an account. Putting in the credit or debit card you use most, the round-up amount on every purchase will be donated to support ACE!

We’ve noticed a lot of companies are seeking your change, but, by becoming an ACE Changemaker, you can always follow up on how ACE uses your change by coming down to Jamaica to see for yourself. We are literally changing lives and transforming communities!

Answered Prayers & Prayer Requests

ANSWERED PRAYER Savvy, the new member of the farm, is improving. Thanks for the support to help this horse make it back to health. He’s a long way off from being whole, but it’s happening.

PRAYER REQUEST We are on the last leg of paying off the farm. The farm and the microbusinesses because of the farm are helping us sustain our Jamaican payroll. We are $400k US away from having the mortgage paid off.

ANSWERED PRAYER Finally, our children in the sponsorship program are seeing some sense of normalcy. ACE hosted the first quarter birthday party with a different twist last week. It was received very well.

PRAYER REQUEST Lynne is leaving in a few days, and we are praying for more volunteers who can teach our staff anything from gardening to carpentry. We have eager Nationals to learn. We just need the trainers. Got time?

ANSWERED PRAYER Staff is clicking along. Easter went very well. As mentioned above in this newsletter, we had an Easter feast at the Campus and Peace House with lots of good food and watched the Passion of Christ then played games with our Jamaican friends and staff. All were satisfied.

PRAYER REQUEST Our vehicles are taking a beating with the bad roads. We are repairing them and getting them back on the road before our first summer team arrives. Any mechanics bored with their job in the States and want to give ACE a week of vehicle maintenance? We’d love to have you!

ANSWERED PRAYER So happy to hear from some of you after such a long time. We’ve missed the communication. Just because you can’t give a donation doesn’t mean you can’t say hello and stay connected. We welcome hearing from old and new friends. Thanks for reaching out.
