With the recent events surrounding Charlie Kirk’s assassination, we can’t help but reflect on what his life and his message for the world have to do with ACE. Because we believe this battle isn’t political, it’s spiritual. Charlie Kirk challenged everyone to boldly share their faith in Jesus Christ. Read the stories of ACE volunteers Mia and Zoe on our blog to see how they are getting involved and sharing their faith at college, and ask yourself, what can you do to share your faith — at home, in your community, and overseas?

While the economy has slowed down here in Jamaica, our ACE Mobile Infirmary (AMI) program continues to thrive as we welcome new faces to the program! That’s because we believe our elders in need within our community deserve to have their basic needs like food and water met while also receiving prayer and spiritual development. Meet the newest faces of AMI through our blog and discover how you can support the program through prayer, physical donations, and financial gifts.

Employee Spotlight

Antoinette, Galina Breeze’s Housekeeping Manager, has been a member of our team for an impressive 15 years, overseeing laundry, room maintenance, and inventory, as well as training individuals from other institutions to help build valuable work experience. When asked, Antoinette said that what draws her most to our team is the strong Christian fellowship, family-like bonds, and our commitment to caring for the less fortunate. She also loves having opportunities to expand her skills in table setting and event decorating.

Her favorite memories with Galina Breeze and ACE include being humbled every time she visited the infirmary and enjoying staff trips that strengthen our culture and community spirit. The next time you’re at Galina Breeze, be sure to say hello to Antoinette!

Answered Prayers & Prayer Requests

ANSWERED PRAYER Several of our men from the farm went with Allen to a Christian men’s retreat in the mountains of Jamaica last weekend. Another ministry run by a Jamaican friend of ours invited them to attend. They came back so encouraged and grateful to go and share stories from other men who struggle with similar challenges in life. Allen came back a different man, full of smiles and encouragement. These are the type of outreach programs ACE is seeking for our men and women in Jamaica. Thank you! They can’t wait to do it again.

PRAYER REQUEST We are in the worst drought in years. Cattle have run out of grass. ACE made the decision to sell some of our cattle to pay bills and to help get our pastures going. Pray that we will sell them soon and that the rain will come.

ANSWERED PRAYER School started a week late due to the country's election, and as fall approaches, teams have slowed down. With few resources, our staff have been working less days each week, but they continue to keep everything going and ensure our elders in the AMI program are fed. At least once per week, we go out to feed and leave groceries for them, including bottles of fresh water to drink.

ANSWERED PRAYER While ACE is down to three ladies for the season, we are so proud of our staff. The work is overwhelming some days, but our team pushes through with a smile. Even better, our elderly and child sponsorship students are still being greeted with the food, basic needs, and letters from each of you who continue to be consistent in your giving to our programs.

PRAYER REQUEST Brandy has undergone a partial surgery, but they had to stop due to what they found — a rare stage 4 cancer. She has started treatment at the UWI hospital in Kingston, and she is now home awaiting some test results that have been sent to Miami. Pray for her mental health and for her immediate family.

ANSWERED PRAYER We have added Brandy's parents to our AMI program in order to get them some additional help. Brandy also has a brother who attends Edgehill School of Special Education.

PRAYER REQUEST Things have really slowed down here in Jamaica. The economy is at a standstill. Staff have been working only a few days per week. We would love some assistance with paying their salaries.

ANSWERED PRAYER God has remained faithful in everything we do. No matter how limited our resources get, we are forever thankful to all our supporters who continue to believe in us and trust in the work we are doing, so we can continue "riding the waves."
