Earlier this month, ACE hosted a choir group from Augusta. This was somewhat new to ACE as we are used to having volunteers coming to work, sweat and serve. What a special blessing to not only see the projects done with love, but to hear in song their servant hearts.

Last week, Allen, Althia, and I had the honor of traveling 1600+ miles from Jamaica to New Orleans, Louisiana, to be a part of a dear friend’s defining moment. Our personal friend and an ACE spiritual mother, Helen Delaney – or as we call her, Pastor Helen – invited us to be part of this grand celebration. Even though we were only there for less than 24 hours, it was a day for all of us to remember... 

Many of you have heard this before as it’s a mantra we continually repeat among our staff and with guests. This month, Sugar Hill got to do something rather amazing. They dismantled a house they were part of building many years ago to move it to another location...

Answered Prayers & Prayer Requests

ANSWERED PRAYER Our volunteers are returning and lifting our spirits. We love friends and family coming back to visit us and to help us work on the many projects we always have happening. You all really make our summer.

PRAYER REQUEST We need employees in a big way. Just when we hire and train the Nationals to fill jobs, the US or Canada takes them away to work in the many 6-month work programs. You see, when Americans or Canadians don’t work, the countries recruit our locals. Pray God will send us some “keepers”.

ANSWERED PRAYER Thanks to our many child sponsors, our students are coming along and getting ready to end their school year in July for a great summer. The follow-through with sponsors has been amazing. It’s so nice to be remembered.

PRAYER REQUEST Carpenters are needed in a big way. ACE has a tremendous need for a carpenter or two (or three) to help us with specialty work. If you can give us two weeks, we can get you to Jamaica and cover your expenses.

ANSWERED PRAYER We had sent out a request several months ago for funding to get water to a different location for not only animals but people to drink from our River. After almost ½ a year, the first phase project was completed. Thanks to a generous Donor, the first phase was completed almost a quarter mile so we can fill up a 25 thousand tank and 6 other 1000 gallon tanks in route for water.  We are so grateful to our friends for answering our call for funds for this request.
