Long-time ACE volunteer Tina Gerke shared the following story with our team after her recent trip to Jamaica. It’s been almost 23 years since I first stepped foot in Jamaica. I would have never believed all the changes and lessons that I was to learn along the way...

Last month, my husband, Foster, and I came up to the States for a much-needed break before we hit the ground running with a summer full of mission teams. We spent our time resting, gathering essential supplies, and preparing for the busy season ahead...

Answered Prayers & Prayer Requests

ANSWERED PRAYER Marla and Allen had a few days in the States and got to visit many friends of ACE they had not seen in years. It was a great time to catch up, see, and hear the stories of how ACE had transformed families’ lives. We know it’s changed our lives, but hearing it from so many individuals who have invested their time, treasure, and/or talents gave us confirmation that God is definitely in this ministry. Thank you all for hosting us.

PRAYER REQUEST The long saga of needing batteries for the solar units is continuing. We have two of the six needed to be back up and running. Please pray and consider helping us get back on track with our solar energy.

ANSWERED PRAYER It’s happening… school is out in the U.S., and that means our volunteers will be down soon to help us with our many outreach needs. Our adult medical providers are giving us time to see the many patients who have been waiting to be seen. And our famous annual VBS programs will be well presented this summer to all the many children waiting to hear that God loves them so much and has a purpose for their lives.

PRAYER REQUEST Along with the fire that destroyed the solar batteries, the generator that runs Galina Breeze had to be revamped from the engine up. We need prayers to find why, after all the rehab, we still can’t get it to run properly. Everyone in the business can’t figure out what is happening. And with the heat of summer here, we are praying for a miracle. Would you pray with us?

ANSWERED PRAYER Mother’s Day was a record for the food court at Buccaneers, one of our micro-businesses. We sold out of everything and sold over 300 ice cream cones in a few hours. Now that’s a lot of sugar! It’s also a blessing to be able to make our payroll and pay bills. Micro-businesses work!

PRAYER REQUEST Pray with us about finding a full-time pastor and family for the Peace House and ACE. Our friend, Pastor Omar, simply can’t make the two-hour trip each way to come every week. Plus, we need someone who can be around the community four days a week. Marla and Allen met a great couple in Kingston who was recommended to them by a friend. They will hopefully be spending a few weeks with us at the Campus this summer when their children are out of school. While it may be a long shot, we know that God is the author of long shots. Let’s pray we have a pastor by the beginning of the 2025 school year. The Peace House has grown to the point of requiring weekly interaction with our community and farm.

A Call to Give Electronically

It is always ACE’s top priority to protect the gifts we receive from our donors. That’s why we want to make you aware of recent issues that we’ve experienced with the Atlanta USPS and offer alternatives to continue supporting ACE in timely and secure ways. In recent months, we have seen donor checks being returned to donors and never making it to our office, as well as ACE receiving donor checks several months after they were sent in the mail.

In an effort to make sure that none of your gifts are ever lost in the system, we encourage you to send your gifts electronically if possible.

  1. Set up a recurring donation using a credit card via PayPal on our website.
  2. Send donations via Zelle, directed to accounting@acexperience.org.
  3. Contact your bank directly to have them wire money to our Truist account.

For more information regarding this issue with USPS, or on the various ways you can send your donations to ACE, please read our blog below.
