PLEASE NOTE
Offering of the Chalice at Communion
We once again offer the chalice to those who come forward for Communion. Partaking of the wine will be optional.
Please do so only by intinction, dipping the host into the wine. It is important not to dip your fingers into the wine as well. If you would prefer not to receive the wine, please cross your arms across your chest.

Let’s Have a Feast
We will kick off our Epiphany series on feasting with breakfast after the 9:30am service. There will be a delicious spread from Jack Francis catering and from several of our parishioners, and Peter will speak about the theme of feasting. Come and enjoy this time together as a parish community! In this series, we will expand our understanding of feasting beyond just food: we will consider feasting on creation and nature; feasting our eyes and ears on the extensive media available to us: perhaps exploring the subject of overabundance and how we deal with that. Our first guest will be a Redeemer favorite, Rabbi Richard Hirsh, who will join us for two Sundays to discuss feasting from Jewish and Biblical perspectives. Please join us for what is sure to be an interesting series!
January 8: Kickoff breakfast in Burns Hall
January 15: Rabbi Richard Hirsh
January 22: Rabbi Richard Hirsh
January 29: No Forum; Confirmation and Bishop’s Visit
More feasting to come in February!
Second Sunday Informal Eucharist
