March 2024 • Bringing community together since 1987 | | Coming together to feed those in need | | |
It is a beautiful day today. I am looking our at blooming trees, birds twitting about, and a clear blue sky. I even have peaches starting to grow on my tree!
On this beautiful day, I walked into the Mini-Market to see it full of people looking to feed their family. People were lined up to access the food in our pantry. That is great! …Except, our shelves are lacking stock. We are low on food supplies that these families need to put sufficient food, in quantity and quality, on the table.
That is where you come in. We need your help to fill the shelves. I was talking to a teenager in our community who is all about helping fill the need. Sarah has started Front Porch Food Drive to collect food that can fill our shelves and fill clients' food needs. She is committed to making a difference in our community. Let’s join Sarah in making a positive food impact on our neighbors’ lives.
Below you will see a list of badly needed foods. Let’s do this: if you collect enough food to fill the bed of my Tacoma pickup, I will personally come pick it up.
Let’s fight hunger together.
Francis, CEO of CAC

How do we do it?
CAC distributes fresh produce, meats, dairy, prepared foods, and shelf-stable foods to neighbors in need out of three conveniently-located pantries. We run a client-choice model, which works like a grocery store: clients choose what they want to eat per their preferences, dietary restrictions, allergies, etc. CAC helps clients access nutritious, fresh food for free, easing the burden of grocery shopping on the monthly budget.
