Boo! Downtown Florence is scaring up some fright this week just in time for Halloween! This Saturday visit the City Center Farmers Market for their Tent or Treat event. Adults will be able to shop from local vendors, while kids can trick or treat at select vendor tents. The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is open to the public. If that’s not enough candy for you, St. John’s Church will host a Trunk or Treat on Sunday at 4 p.m. in their parking lot. This event is also open to the public. Then on Halloween itself, the Friends of the Florence County Library will host a Fall Carnival from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. for kids ages 2 to 11. There will be a variety of carnival games and light refreshments.

For some scary good times in-between all the candy hunting, stop by our small businesses for some Halloween-themed items. The DIY Place has Halloween projects for any last-minute décor and Bubble Boutique has Halloween bath products to help you relax after all the Halloween madness. Then don’t forget, this is your last week to grab the popular ghoulish bonbons from ChocoBella---they have ghosts, pumpkin spice, strawberry pistachio green monsters, and peanut butter fudge eyeballs!
