Trinitarian Togetherness: Grace, Love and Fellowship"

WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY

This Sunday we celebrate the Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Our focus is on Paul’s final words to the fractious Corinthian congregation, urging reconciliation, unity and togetherness. 2 Corinthians 13:5-14  We close each worship service with Paul’s Triune benediction. How might we cultivate a greater awareness of the grace, love and fellowship of the Trinity? How might this change our faith, our congregation and our lives?

Come on Sunday and find out!

Blessings,

Don

New Member Class – Saturday, June 6th, 9 am – 11 am

Have you been thinking about membership at SSPC, or wondering about what kind of commitment that might involve? Then join Senior Pastor Don Wahlig for this fast-paced, informal and interactive class. We will conclude with a review of the expectations of membership. For those who are ready to do so, there will be an opportunity to join the congregation, though there is no pressure or obligation to do so. The class will be held in the Parlor beginning at 9 am and will end no later than 11 am. If you’d like to reserve a spot in this class or simply have questions, please contact Don at don@silverspring.org. Hope to see you there!

Fall Faire - October 24, 2026

Fall Faire will be held Saturday, October 24th, from 8 am – 1 pm. All the fan favorites – Apple Dumplings, Sticky Buns, White Elephant, Christmas Shoppe, Soups, Toys, Children’s Activities, Boutique and more – will be there! Marketing materials will be available to take to area businesses after June 1st.

This year, the Fall Faire committee – a dedicated group of wonderful Deacons, are looking for beautiful items to place and sell in the Boutique area. If you are looking to downsize, or you have things you just need to get rid of, we’d love to take a look at any accessory items and furniture, such as lamps, side tables, small sofas, paintings, chairs – and have first dibs on what you want to get rid of before you do anything else with them. Please contact Pastor Lisa, who will then schedule with the FF team to come and look at the items first. Please note that for the White Elephant section, we are no longer taking glassware or small appliances. The volunteer assignment board will be up August 8th, and we will begin taking donations the first week of September.

Faith Walk Update

If you are planning to walk and pray with Pastor Lisa on weather-permitting Fridays, please note that she will not be able to meet on the following Fridays: June 5, June 26, and July 3rd. Right now, the other Fridays between now and the end of August are good for Walking and Praying– weather permitting!

New Men's Bible Study Introduced!

CE is excited to present our new Men's Bible Study Class that started on Monday, May 11th, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. What does the Bible say about the role of men on earth and in life? What about how to act in marriage, at work and in the community. How does this correspond to how we live and act in today's world. What questions do you have as men, what answers does the Bible provide. We will explore this and more from some of the leading teachers and clergy of today. We will discuss our thoughts, questions, and our opinions. We will meet in Room 204, every second and fourth Monday of the month. We will meet next on June 8th at 7 pm. Suggestions for courses of study are welcome; contact Scott Pepperman at puppytrainer52@aol.com. This class is for all SSPC congregation men and friends, ages 18 and above.

Laundry Ministry Update - Loads of love!

The SSPC Youth and CORE members continue their new ministry here at the church, the Laundry Ministry. We continue to collect quarters in the Gathering Place, in the laundry basket and purchase laundry cards to hand out to patrons at local Morris Laundromats.

Update: Members of our youth CORE group visited the Morris Laundromat in Dillsburg recently. We had our most active outing to date, visiting with 20 patrons and handing out 10 laundry cards. The youth performed with the Holy Spirit as servant leaders. Everyone thanked us and asked about where we came from and about SSPC. Our next outing will be to the Morris Laundromat in Enola. Thank you for your contributions and faith in our efforts. Blessings.

Storyboard Ministry

The Youth have an easel in the Gathering Place with Post-it notes and markers for your prayer requests (no names, please). Each Sunday we collect the requests and pray for them at our CORE meetings. Whatever is on your heart, put it on the storyboard and we will pray for each request. If you see a request that you would like to take with you and pray for, feel free to do so. If you want to add one, please do as well. Our new box for answered prayers is beside the Storyboard. Feel free to place any answered prayers that you are thankful for in the box. God does indeed answer prayers! Blessings.

Manna Project

Over 15 years ago, SSPC began welcoming newcomers through the Manna Project. Each year, volunteers sign up to welcome visitors with a loaf of bread and to share information about SSPC along with what the church means to them. Many visitors have joined our church family because of a Manna Visit. Please consider participating in this project to welcome our new visitors. There is a new sign-up sheet in the Gathering Place. For any questions, please contact Shannon Leary.
