Greetings!

The Society of Television Engineers is pleased to announce the upcoming presentation on Thursday, April 17th, 2025 at the Elks Lodge in Glendale.

The need for fiber optic matrix switches has existed since the transition from copper to optical communications, and a wide range of technologies have been deployed to make all-optical matrix switches with varying levels of success.

With the advancements in MEMS technology in the past 20 years, MEMS-based matrix switches are now used in data centers, quantum communications, AI networks, etc. The talk will give an overview of the MEMS mirror technology, how it works in matrix switches, where the matrix switches are used, and how matrix switches can help in the next-generation broadcast media networks.

Join us for this exciting event, which will also serve as a fantastic networking opportunity to connect and exchange information about available opportunities in the media industry.
