The Society of Television Engineers is pleased to announce the upcoming presentation on Thursday, February 27th, 2025 at the Elks Lodge in Glendale.

Monte Variakojis, Vice President of Software at Cobalt will be diving into the fascinating world of modern protocols for controlling broadcast equipment. As technology continues to evolve, so do the methods we use to manage and control our broadcasting systems. Our focus will be on leveraging web services and JSON to facilitate communication between control panels and SDI routers.

We'll explore how RESTful and WebSocket interfaces, combined with a JSON API, can streamline operations, enhance flexibility, and improve overall efficiency in broadcast environments. By the end of this talk, you'll have a understanding of how these modern protocols can be implemented to optimize your broadcast control systems.
