Greetings!

The Society of Television Engineers invites you to our upcoming presentation on Thursday, November 12th, 2026, at the Elks Lodge in Glendale.

Topic:

Evolving Broadcast: From Video Networks to Media Fabrics.

Overview:

Broadcast infrastructure continues to evolve, moving beyond traditional SDI systems toward IP networking, distributed architectures, and software-defined media workflows.

Using Riedel’s MediorNet as a practical example, this session explores how broadcast engineers can bridge existing infrastructure with new capabilities for flexible, scalable video routing and distribution.

We’ll examine the engineering tradeoffs of centralized and distributed systems, including bandwidth, latency, redundancy, and scalability. Finally, we’ll look ahead to emerging technologies such as Dynamic Media Facilities (DMF), Media Exchange Layer (MXL), and RDMA, and how they may shape the next generation of real-time media infrastructure.

Don’t miss this insightful presentation and the opportunity to network and exchange information in the media industry.
