A Walk in the Woods

April 1st is the traditional start for those planning to spend the next 6 months hiking the Appalachian Trail (AT). There are many books about hiking the AT from the viewpoint of seasoned hikers. This is not one of them. This book is about what happens if the guy sitting on the couch drinking a beer and watching football decides to hike it. Even if you saw the movie, which is good, the book is different. The men are at an entirely different stage of their lives in the movie compared to the book.

Other books by Bill Bryson

We continue stand with the people of Ukraine. Our hearts are

heavy knowing what Ukrainians are going through right now. To do something, we are having a fundraiser for World Central Kitchen, an organization we feel strongly about. Come into the store or call us, and for any amount you donate to them through April 16, 2022, we will give you store credit to match your pledge toward any book in the store (excluding some books on consignment).
