Welcome to Holy Week!

This Holy Week leading up to Easter is one that millions around the world share together. In the midst of the hustle and bustle of regular life, going to work and fixing meals, catching the bus or texting a friend back, this week is lived against the backdrop of a central divine drama. Each year we are invited to remember, and in some ways re-enact, this movement between kingdom, community, table fellowship, suffering, death - and then life.

After worship, you're invited to stick around for our Big Day Party in Leslie Hall! It’s a fun and festive time for kids, families, young adults, seniors, and everyone in between. We’ll have:

  • An egg hunt for kids,
  • Delicious snacks and food,

  • Time to connect and celebrate together!

Bring a friend, neighbor, or someone new to church—Easter is the perfect Sunday to invite someone into the joy and hope of the resurrection!

Reflect With Us on Good Friday

THIS FRIDAY, APRIL 3

Neighborhood Prayer Walk

Join pastors from LaSalle and neighboring churches as we walk and pray through the Near North Side in a journey modeled after the Stations of the Cross.

Meet at Seward Park (375 W. Elm Street) at 3:00 PM — the walk begins at 3:15 PM.

Contemplative

Worship Service

We’ll gather in the Sanctuary for a quiet, reflective service centered on the power of the cross. This is a space to sit with the weight and promise of Good Friday. Designed for folks age 10 and up, but everyone is welcome.

Young Adults Dinner

THIS SUNDAY, 6:00 PM

Join us for a relaxed dinner hosted by Chelsea and Todd! All LaSalle young adults (20s-30s-ish) are welcome, and feel free to bring a friend. Make sure to RSVP so we can send you details.

Elder Board Nominations

We are now inviting LaSallers to participate in the nomination process for our Elder Board! The nomination form is live and available online, and printed nomination forms can also be found in the back rack of the Sanctuary. If you are a member or regular attender, we encourage you to prayerfully consider who you might recommend. Please plan to submit your nominations by this Sunday!

The Nominating Committee will receive and review all recommendations throughout April, and will share a proposed slate of nominees two weeks ahead of our summer congregational meeting in June, when we will vote on the final candidates.

Join our next Online Community Gathering!

Next Sunday, April 12

You are invited to our next online community gathering, hosted by Carla Bell! We'll meet after worship (around 11:30a) on Sunday, 4/12, a Serve Sunday, to catch up and discuss new service opportunities for the online community. Please RSVP by Friday, 4/3 with your mailing address (below) so that we can mail you a special Fellowship Packet for the gathering. All are welcome, regardless of location!

A Zoom link will be shared soon before the gathering.

6th-12th Grade Craft Night

Friday, April 17

We're making new things! All 6th-12th graders are invited to join a night of creativity and food at Bruce and Renee Cunningham's in the North Park neighborhood from 6:30-9pm on Friday, April 17th. Students can bring their own crafts if they have something they're working on, but we'll also have different art stations where they'll be invited to make something new. Address and other details shared upon registration.

Sunday Morning Parking

Available every Sunday 9 AM - 1 PM

Purchase a Placard at the Welcome Wall

Parking for everyone is free this Easter Sunday!

We’re grateful to have a convenient parking option just steps from the Sanctuary! Our primary parking lot is at Walter Payton College Prep High School. The entrance is at 281 W Oak Street, between Wells and Orleans, beyond the school’s baseball field. Look for our parking attendant when you arrive.

Important update:

We ask members and regular attenders to contribute toward the cost of parking at Walter Payton. You can choose the option that fits best for you:

  • $10 weekly
  • $120 for six months
  • $200 annually

How it works:

  • Pay online through our regular giving platform (select the 'Parking' fund).
  • Placards will be available at the Welcome Wall — please place one on your dashboard when parking.
  • We’ll begin enforcing this in March.
  • Parking for guests is free. After 2–3 visits, we’ll ask regular attenders to begin paying.

Elm Street Garage update:

Validated parking at the Elm Street Plaza Garage (69 W Elm Street) will no longer be available. You may still park there at the standard rate ($28.35 for up to two hours) through their platform Metropolis.

Street parking:

Free unmetered street parking is also available nearby on Elm, Oak, and Hill Streets around Seward Park.
