• Fund renovations and furniture for the faculty lounge, college office and architecture lab. 
• Develop and fund college-support programs including free one-on-one college essay coaching for all rising seniors and individual assistance for QuestBridge applicants
• Fund professional development seminars for faculty and administration
• Support the The Echo newspaper, the Math Team and other clubs
• Subsidize the senior prom so everyone could attend 
• Invite experts on teen mental health to speak at PTA meetings

• Boys Soccer, 9-11AM (day 1) – Schiff Field (Amsterdam & 136) Coach Ramirez
• Girls Soccer, 9-11 AM (day 1) – Schiff Field (Amsterdam & 136) Coach Tirado 
• Coed Cross Country, 10 AM – Van Cortlandt park opposite 6035 Broadway. (Full schedule here) Coach Henning 

All student athletes must submit a PSAL Sports Medical Form and PSAL Parent Consent Form to the team coach or the school's athletic director before they participate in any tryouts.  

Wed, Sept 9, 9 AM, Freshman Orientation - STUDENTS ONLY. There are no opportunities for parents to interact with faculty or administration.

Thurs, Sept 10, 8:30 AM, First Day of School - Students arrive at the Marshak Gym for opening year assembly and distribution of their physical schedules. Students are released at the end of first period to meet their teachers and take attendance.

Thurs, Sept 17, 6:30 PM, In Person PTA General Meeting & Elections- 9th grade Parent Representative(s). Location TBD.

Sun, Sept 20, 12 PM, Freshman Family Picnic - Central Park Great Hill (enter at 106/CPW). Mingle with Freshman families. Bring a lunch, a frisbee or whatever makes you happy.
