Weekly Zoom Link

On Monday evening, we'll finish up our discussion of how to bring these difficult times on to the path. In particular, we'll explore the beautiful and extremely important nature of" non-referential" compassion. This "ultimate compassion" is the natural radiance of an enlightened mind, one that benefits beings freely, effortlessly and powerfully. Please join in.

Locals, please join us at 6 PM for pizza and conversation. Online folks, feel free to arrive by 6:15 to connect with others.

Here is the recording of last week's teaching.

Maitri Bhavana- in a few weeks we will be doing a Maitri Bhavana Ceremony to support those who may be struggling in the world. Please feel free to add your name, or the name of someone who is suffering, on this document, to be included in the ceremony.

New Member Ceremony- Interested in becoming a member of the Buddhist Center? We will be holding a New Member Ceremony on May 11. More information here. Contact Marchele with questions or if you would like to join.

The entire body of Buddhist teachings that was developed in Tibet remains intact to the present day. Its foundation has not been undermined, nor has its pinnacle been destroyed. We think of our tradition of Buddhism as a gift we have to offer the world. And all that we, the teachers of  the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, would ask is that you  accept our offering, enjoy it, make use of it, and benefit  from it.

Contemplation of the Week - Checking in

As we all know, these are difficult times. The world we live in is deeply divided and on edge. From time to time as you go about your day, pause for a moment and check in. Notice whatever tension and fear we might be carrying. Notice how agitated, or how shut down we might be. Take a moment to take “three conscious breaths” to connect with yourself and to bring a sense of ease and presence to the moment. Then, see if you can carry that ease into whatever you are doing.
