On Monday evening, we'll go further into our exploration of how to understand and pay back our "karmic debt" to the many benefactors in our life, seen and unseen, who make our life possible. This is a beautiful contemplation and practice that we will all benefit from. Please join in.

All are welcome to come at 6:15 for tea and conversation

Here is the recording of last week's teaching.

Guiding Lineage Teachers: Please join us in supporting the sons of Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche in their vital work caring for monks, nuns, and communities throughout the Himalayas. Every contribution, regardless of amount, makes a meaningful difference. The campaign will wrap up December 1st. Your generous support would be deeply appreciated.

The next time you go out in the world, you might try this practice: directing your attention to people—in their cars, on the sidewalk, talking on their cell phones—just wish for them all to be happy and well. Without knowing anything about them, they can become very real by regarding each of them personally and rejoicing in the comforts and pleasures that come their way. Each of us has this soft spot: a capacity for love and tenderness. But if we don’t encourage it, we can get pretty stubborn about remaining sour.

Contemplation of the Week - Appreciative Living

This week, as soon as you wake up in the morning, take just a minute or two to bring to mind what you appreciate about your life. Bring to mind a few of the many wonderful things in your life that support you, enrich you, and delight you. It could be as simple as appreciating that you have another day. You could appreciate your soft bed, your cozy home, your family, friends, and teachers. Appreciation lights up our lives and is a constant reminder of how extraordinarily fortunate we are to have been born.
