On Monday evening, we'll celebrate Lhabab Düchen, one of the four Great Holy Days on the Buddhist calendar, commemorating four events in the life of Gautama Buddha. Lhabab Düchen celebrates Buddha's return to the human realm after teaching his mother for three months in the Tushita Heaven. To honor the occasion, we'll practice The Treasury of Blessings, a practice of Shakyamuni Buddha. This will be a beautiful evening that you don't want to miss.

All are welcome to come at 6:15 for tea and conversation

Here is the recording of last week's teaching.

On Monday night, Nov. 17, Tim will be addressing questions from you, the community. You're welcome to ask your question live or add your question to this document.

Guiding Lineage Teachers: Our annual fundraiser to support our teachers has begun. Please join us in supporting the sons of Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche in their vital work caring for monks, nuns, and communities throughout the Himalayas. Every contribution, regardless of amount, makes a meaningful difference. Your generous support would be deeply appreciated.

There's no greater foolishness than to spend one's lifetime acknowledging that one is deluded and yet doing nothing whatsoever about it.

Contemplation of the Week - Appreciative Living

This week, as soon as you wake up in the morning, take just a minute or two to bring to mind what you appreciate about your life. Bring to mind a few of the many wonderful things in your life that support you, enrich you, and delight you. It could be as simple as appreciating that you have another day. You could appreciate your soft bed, your cozy home, your family, friends, and teachers. Appreciation lights up our lives and is a constant reminder of how extraordinarily fortunate we are to have been born.
