On Monday evening, we'll be celebrating the Tibetan New Year (Losar) with the practice of The Treasury of Blessings. This beautiful practice, written at the turn of the last century by the legendary Mipham Rinpoche, connects us with the beauty, the power and the wisdom of the Three Jewels. Please join in!

Annual Member Meeting to follow the teaching at 7:30 PM. Members please stay to hear about the recent Council election, financial health of the community and 2025 year in review. If you are a member and haven't voted, please do so now!

All are welcome to come at 6:15 for tea and conversation.

Here is the recording of last week's teaching.

The heart of compassion and loving-kindness that is free from ego clinging allows us to see the suffering of others from their own perspective. We can see beyond our own ideas and beliefs. We can see what they need from their point of view, and we can apply our own wisdom at the same time. With this more open and clear view, we can see more realistically what will meet their actual needs and be truly beneficial.

Contemplation of the Week - The Buddha As My Constant Companion

In the weeks to come as you go about your day, from time to time, take a moment to pause. Take just a few seconds to check in with yourself. Ask yourself, “how is my body? Am I rushing? Can I sense myself and the space around me? Ask yourself, “how is my mind? Am I daydreaming? Am I present to the world around me?” Ask yourself, “how is my heart? Am I connected with others in the world around me? Do I feel connected to them as fellow travelers along this journey of life who have the same dreams as I do and who are worthy, as I am, of having a good and meaningful life?”. As it is said, this natural curiosity and care is “like having Shakyamuni as you constant companion.”
