On Monday evening, we'll explore the beautiful teaching, The Seven Stages of Gradual Understanding. These seven stages present a powerful, yet elegant map to help us connect with others and the world altogether. These seven steps combine the "feeling" of great love and the logic for how to inspire this love to blossom in our being. Please take part in what promises to be a profoundly helpful discussion.

All are welcome to come at 6:15 for tea and conversation

Here is the recording of last week's teaching.

On a Monday night in the coming weeks, Tim will be addressing questions from you, the community. You're welcome to ask your question live or add your question to this document.

Guiding Lineage Teachers: Our annual fundraiser to support our teachers has begun. Please join us in supporting the sons of Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche in their vital work caring for monks, nuns, and communities throughout the Himalayas. Every contribution, regardless of amount, makes a meaningful difference. Your generous support would be deeply appreciated.

Generosity is the ornament of the world.

Through generosity, one turns back from the lower realms.

Generosity is the stairway to the higher realms.

Generosity is the virtue that produces peace

Contemplation of the Week - The Kindnesses of Others

In the days to come, at home, or whenever you are out and about, take a moment to notice the delicious food that you’re eating, or the delicious special drink that you’re drinking. For just a moment, imagine the many, many people who made it possible for you to enjoy whatever it is that you’re enjoying. Think of all of the people who grew the coffee, who harvested the beans and transported them from so far away. Notice the enthusiastic baristas, who are trying to make sure that the coffee is prepared in exactly the way you like. Bring to mind the fact that for you to enjoy a simple cup of coffee takes a kind of miraculous coming together of other’s hard work, care and creativity. Now, for a moment, just bring to mind the fact that our life and well-being is only made possible by the contributions of this vast web of unseen friends. Take a moment to recall that, indeed, we truly are a “gathering of the kindnesses of others.” Remaining present to this truth throughout our day is, itself, enlightening
