Weekly Zoom Link

On Monday evening, we'll start with a short Maitri Bhavana Ceremony to support those who may be ill, or struggling. (see below). Then, we'll continue to explore the power of forgiveness. Forgiveness has the power to free us from resentment and closed mindedness and to reconnect us with our life and the world around us. This is an incredibly important and uplifting conversation. Please join in.

Feel free to join us at 6:15 for tea and conversation before the teaching.

Here is the recording of last week's teaching.

Maitri Bhavana - On Monday, April 13th, we'll have a Maitri Bhavana Ceremony to support those who may be ill, or struggling. Please feel free to add your name, or the name of someone who is suffering, on this document, to be included in the ceremony.

New Member Ceremony - Interested in becoming a member of the Buddhist Center? We will be holding a New Member Ceremony on May 11. More information here. Contact Marchele with questions or if you would like to join.

We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love.

There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies.

Contemplation of the Week - Checking in

As we all know, these are difficult times. The world we live in is deeply divided and on edge. From time to time as you go about your day, pause for a moment and check in. Notice whatever tension and fear we might be carrying. Notice how agitated, or how shut down we might be. Take a moment to take “three conscious breaths” to connect with yourself and to bring a sense of ease and presence to the moment. Then, see if you can carry that ease into whatever you are doing.
