Weekly Zoom Link

On Monday evening, we'll explore the liberating and life affirming quality of forgiveness. Forgiveness has the power to free us from resentment and closed mindedness and to reconnect us with our life and the world around us. This is an incredibly important and uplifting conversation. Please join in.

Feel free to join us at 6:15 for tea and conversation before the teaching.

Here is the recording of last week's teaching.

Forgiveness is not to condone or minimize the awfulness of an atrocity or wrong. It is to recognize its ghastliness but to choose to acknowledge the essential humanity of the perpetrator and to give that perpetrator the possibility of making a new beginning. It is an act of much hope and not despair. It is to hope in the essential goodness of people and to have faith in their potential to change.

Contemplation of the Week - Checking in

As we all know, these are difficult times. The world we live in is deeply divided and on edge. From time to time as you go about your day, pause for a moment and check in. Notice whatever tension and fear we might be carrying. Notice how agitated, or how shut down we might be. Take a moment to take “three conscious breaths” to connect with yourself and to bring a sense of ease and presence to the moment. Then, see if you can carry that ease into whatever you are doing.

Applied Dharma  meets the 1st Wednesday of every month from 5:30 to 6:30 PM MT. All are welcome to discuss the Lojong slogans with the community. For more information or to sign-up to receive the monthly reminders and topic, visit our website.
