On Monday evening, we’ll begin a short series exploring the guidance for our conduct along the path. Tim will be drawing from the teachings of the illustrious teacher of the Great Perfection (Dzogchen) tradition, HH Dudjom Rinpoche. These are beautiful and inspiring teachings that connect our daily activity with the lifelong journey of awakening. Please join in.

All are welcome to come at 6:15 for tea and conversation.

Save the Date! The annual fall retreat has been confirmed for September 12-14, 2025 in Steamboat Springs, CO. More details to follow.

Exploring Meditation's next gathering is Thursday, April 17th, from 6 - 7:00 PM MT. Zoom Link. We meet monthly to support one another on the path. All are welcome!

All sentient beings want only happiness.  No one wants to suffer.  But through attachment, anger, and delusion, beings only create negative karma for themselves, forging a path straight into the three lower realms. In the past, our mother sentient beings headed to these three unfortunate states, in the present moment they’re heading there again, in the future they will continue on that same painful route. Contemplating this, how can we help but feel compassion?  The emotion this evokes is what is meant by compassion.

Contemplation of the Week - This Perfect Moment

In the days and weeks to come, from time to time bring to mind the fact that whatever is happening is the perfect teaching; the perfect message for whatever it is that we need to learn. Also, consider the particular situation to be the perfect place to wake up and whoever I am with to be the perfect gathering to wake up with. Consider that whoever we encounter at any given  moment is the perfect teacher. Finally, bring to mind the fact that this very moment, this exact moment is the perfect time for me to learn what I need to learn. In this way, the world opens up to us, as being an expression of these “five perfections”: the perfect teaching, the perfect place, the perfect gathering, the perfect teacher and the perfect time.
