On Monday evening, a close friend of the Buddhist Center, Andrew Holecek, will be exploring the extraordinary domain of "nocturnal" meditations. Five nocturnal meditations await us every night: liminal dreaming, lucid dreaming, dream yoga, sleep yoga, and bardo yoga. Andrew's presentation will introduce us to all five and discuss the physical, psychological, and spiritual benefits of engaging the nocturnal mind.

This will be a rare opportunity to learn about these important practices. Please join is.

Every time you blink your eyes, every breath you take, you are looking for happiness and freedom from suffering. That very longing is the sign of your buddha nature calling you home.

Contemplation of the Week - Appreciative Living

This week, as soon as you wake up in the morning, take just a minute or two to bring to mind what you appreciate about your life. Bring to mind a few of the many wonderful things in your life that support you, enrich you, and delight you. It could be as simple as appreciating that you have another day. You could appreciate your soft bed, your cozy home, your family, friends, and teachers. Appreciation lights up our lives and is a constant reminder of how extraordinarily fortunate we are to have been born.
