Have you had Trochanteric Bursectomy surgery (for a torn muscle from the hip bone)? Church member Mark Herboth is facing this surgery and has questions of those who have personally gone through it. If you have, please contact Mark Herboth mlherboth@gmail.com or call (704) 617-9321. NOTE: This is NOT the same as a hip REPLACEMENT.

Mitzi Lesher-Thomas is moving from the area due to her husband's job. If you are a church member, you might be able to find her new address on Realm. If not, you may reach out to Teresa who will be happy to get it for you.

WOMEN'S CLOTHING DRIVE

FOR BENEVOLENCE FARM

Benevolence Farm, one of CITP’s mission partners, is an admirable program in Alamance County that provides support to women who are leaving incarceration to start a new life. It provides housing, employment on the farm making herbs for self-care products (available at Weaver Street), community resources, and advocacy. Cyndi Christopher and Ann Turnbull are co-champions for Benevolence Farm for the Mission & Service Committee. After wearing prison garb for years, THE WOMEN NEED CLOTHING. We invite you to bring clean, gently-used women's clothing with no tears or stains that you are no longer using to the Gathering Room at the church BY AUGUST 10. Your donations will be delivered to Benevolence Farm at the end of the month. Please provide your name with your clothing if you would like a receipt to complete for a taxable contribution. If you have questions, please call or text Ann Turnbull at 785-218-7611.

WEEKLY CHOIR REHEARSALS!

UPDATED!

Handbells: Regular Handbell Choir rehearsals are on break until August, but please contact Katherine if you are interested in joining them this fall.

contact: Katherine Brekke

Adult Choir: Adult Choir is on summer break! But we have moved into Summer Choir season! If you you love to sing and have avoided joining the choir due to the commitment of the regular Adult Choir, Summer Choir might be the option for which you've been looking. We will just get together 30 minutes before the start of worship, at 10am Sunday mornings and rehearse an anthem in the sanctuary. You don't have to commit to do it every week. We need voices - and yours is invited!

Remaining Summer Choir Dates:

  • July 21
  • August 11, 18, 25

Contact: Jeremy Nabors

PLEASE NOTE: There is no Women's Study Group July 23 or 30.

The Women's Study Group gets together every week in the Fellowship Hall's conference room on Tuesdays at 10am. They have guest speakers, discuss books, poetry and share in delightful fellowship together.

They are taking the next two weeks off, but will begin August by reading and discussing "What Makes You Come Alive (A Spiritual Walk with Howard Thurman)" by Lerita Coleman Brown.

All women are welcome!
