7th Annual Be Homeful for the Holidays campaign to Prevent Homelessness
 
NHMR is participating in the CT REALTORS® Foundation 7th annual Be Homeful for the Holidays campaign to help end family homelessness in CT.
 
Your generous gift helps prevent families from becoming homeless by providing emergency assistance to help them stay in their home and not have to enter the shelter system. AND, for every $25 donated, the CT REALTORS® Care Foundation will gift a plush Paddington bear to a child living in a shelter for the holidays.

The continued success of the campaign depends on your support by promoting and getting others involved! You can start your own online “bear raiser” (team) and use your personalized donation link to encourage family and friends to donate. You can put up a "giving tree" in your office and encourage others in your community to do so as well.

New Reach "Adopt-a-Family" Drive for the Holidays

For the past 15 years, the New Reach community has come together to provide holiday gifts for their clients. In 2021 alone, over 160 donors generously donated gifts to over 300 families and adults, including over 400 children.
Here are ways you can help:

  • Adopt a household and purchase gifts from their wish list
  • Adopt an individual to make their holiday brighter!
  • Recruit your family, friends, or colleagues to join you in adopting a household
  • Purchase $25 or $50 gift cards for families to purchase diapers, toiletries, cleaning supplies, and clothing from major retailers like Target and Walmart.
